This post is a complete take on a post from “Scout” Andrea Lampman.
First off: You. So many new people have made their way here in the last few weeks and your “likes” and “comments” are such a blessing. They help when I’m having a tough day and just need a smile to know I’m not alone in the world — surrounded by buttheads.
Second: animals. We had a very small window of opportunity to adopt a puppy. It was for the best that we didn’t end up with him, but I’m still in a sort of mourning, but the little guy above was on the ledge where we were eating lunch in Rockport last year. I thought he had attitude and just loved that I caught him during a rare moment of standing still.
Third: Making progress. My 1001 list seems to be progressing at a snail’s pace, but it’s just so fun to have it progress at all. So far I’ve managed to get six people to recommend books to read (Any of you want to help me out?), visited a new tea house and made reservations to visit Acadia, and I’m hoping there are at least two people I’ve inspired to make their own 1001 list. I’m thinking it’s time to kick it up a notch, but I’m glad that I’ve done ANYthing. All forward motion is good.
Fourth: the song Jesus Take The Wheel by Carrie Underwood. That’s where I am right now. This reminds me it’s perfectly alright to turn over my concerns and fears.
Fifth: This photo from Scout. I don’t know why, but it just seems seriously cool to me.
Sixth: An email from my middle son telling me he’s happy and his Hmong is getting better every day.
Seventh: rainier cherries. this year I am eating enough of them to make up for the part of the year when I can’t have them!
Eighth: Did I mention you?
Hoping your week rocks…
